Anticipating the Fall, Workshops

Hey guys,
Just wanting to touch base with everyone about this fall-if you are anticipating a fall session or have a baby on the baby plan, it's time to start thinking about scheduling your appointment! I know it seems ridiculously early, but that time of year is usually booked by August 1st, and given the way this Spring has gone, I am anticipating things to book up even more quickly than usual. If you have older children, please consider having a summer session for your Holiday Cards-they won't change much in those months, and everyone loves a summer picture in the middle of winter!

Another reason to consider a summer session rather than fall-all pricing will be increased from September-December for all regular sessions (Baby Planners who begin their plan by September are not included in this increase).

And also a note about the workshops-we still have openings available. Please call us if you are interested, here are the details again:

Saturday June 21st
Plano Station in Historic Downtown Plano
10am-2pm
Lunch included
$345
Workshop includes a workbook, $50 Devine Memories Giftcard, door prizes and other goodies

Agenda:
-Learning the basics of your camera
-Learning the best way to take pictures of your own children
-Open Q&A
-Practice and instruction with a model

I brought you all a souvenir

Here is a giant sneak peek for Tom and Amanda, who not only hosted our trip to NY, but introduced us to the greatest burgers EVER, and showed us around the city they love. It was an amazing time and I have big plans to someday own an apartment in Brooklyn.

I plan to be back every 6 months so please spread the word--I want to be a part-time New Yorker!!
Baby Kate is on my Baby Plan, I'm sure you remember those gorgeous blue eyes. They usually come to me here in Big D, but we needed to get Dad in on the action and hey, I needed an excuse to take my first New York trip ever! So I took my good friend and we had an incredible 4 day trip, one of which was devoted completely to following the family around to their favorite, most iconic New York places. First up-Dad's home away from home-Downtown in the Financial District.

Next up, does this one need an explanation? The gorgeous and awe-inspiring Brooklyn Bridge
For this shot, I asked Mom and Dad to put Kate down in the center of the pedestrian bridge. Dad said "Oh my gosh, my daughter's in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge!" He was laughing but was obviously nervous---I didn't fully understand why until later when my friend and I headed back during a busier time. Scary!
And this was Kate's first subway ride! (and mine!)

Our subway ride somehow landed us in Grand Central Station (after this, it took my friend and I 3 tries and 3 Metro cards to figure out the subway system). Again, no words, I took a minute to take it all in, and then decided to balance the chaos of the station with the calmness of this family.

The look on her face says it all-This is exactly how I felt crossing NY streets
On the steps of the NY Public Library.
And what better way to end than in Central Park-by far my favorite place in New York.
Happy, Happy first birthday to Miss Kate!

PS-Did anyone see me on the Today show??? I had my .15 seconds of fame Friday morning!!!

Also--- start spreadin' the news-I'm leaving today! Well, technically tomorrow.

The Big Apple is waiting for me...words cannot express my giddiness at finally getting the chance to explore New York City, and to be able to do a family session in Manhattan???? Giddiness, I tell you.
Remember, we'll be making NYC a regular stop, so definetly "spread the news" by telling your NY family and friends!

I'll be out of the office the rest of the week but I will return calls and emails next Monday.

How's this for cute

Just in case you are in need of a pick-me-up this weekend, I have a high dose of precious for you...Miss Kate!

It's hard to believe only last summer she was this big !! Thanks to the Baby Plan, this is her 3rd of 4 sessions in her first year and it has been so fun watching her grow. As you can imagine, I hold a special place in my heart for the Baby Planners, since I see them so fresh from the womb and then hang with them at each milestone all the way 'til the big 01!

She'll be walking any day now

Hey whaddya know, some pictures!

I'm getting there, I'm getting there! Colleen is training hard in the office and loving every minute of it (at least I hope so since she says she dreams about it at night) and so I'm having more opportunities to do what I have desperately needed to do for weeks...proof pictures!

You'll probably recognize these faces, as Big Sis Taylor is one of my blog/session regulars. I love hanging out with her because she has me doing all sorts of things with her, playing dolls, dressing up, playing instruments, I think even at one point she was the teacher and I was the student. In between all the playtime I snuck in a few shots of baby Alex, who is technically the subject since this is her baby plan.

If this isn't one of the most photogenic babies ever, I don't know who is...check out the big round blue eyes and perfect little pink lips!

I love this one
And now you see where baby Alex's photogenic-ness (i made that word up) comes from. Taylor has her own baby and takes VERY good care of her!

Thanks for all the offers, all you event planners out there!!!

It turns out I had an event planner right under my nose, my new office assistant Colleen! We are trying to get something cool together for this summer so stay tuned all you moms and dads out there!

Speaking of Colleen, today was her first day and she is going to get me caught up so quickly that I won't know what to do with myself. She is going to play a pretty active role over here so be sure and introduce yourself to her when you call. Colleen is a client of mine with a beautiful little baby girl. She loves photography and can't wait to learn the ropes, and I sure can't wait to hand them over :)

And here are just a few from a fun session recently:
