The Big Day

I wanted to reach out to all of you for a moment, and ask you to please pray for my Dad this week.
The operation to remove his brain tumor is this Tuesday morning. He will be admitted at 5am, and they will begin the surgery around 7am. The surgery is expected to last around 6-7 hours. My brother and I as well as our support system of friends and family will be there at the hospital with him. After the surgery he will stay in the hospital for a week, then home recovering for another month.

I'm sort of a mess again and could use happy thoughts and prayers myself.

On that note I will be out of the office Tue-Friday to be with my Dad. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Here is his picture with my kids so you can put a face with a name. I *heart* my Daddy so much and hate seeing him go through this.

Deanna,

Please know that we are keeping your dad and your family in our prayers and will say an extra special prayer for you all tomorrow morning. Ian has been including your family in his bedtime prayers each night, "you are the Deanna that made the big picture of his face". Much love is being sent to you & your dad.

Warm Hugs,
Veronica

Deanna, you don't know me, but I'm a Dallas blogger and I sort of follow you through Minivan Mom.

I just want you to know your family is in my thoughts during this scary sad time.

I hope things go well for you and that you feel the love of a thousand strangers as you wait for good news about your dad.

Surround yourself in love and prayer.

OMG Positive, Happy good luck thoughts shooting your way!!!!!!! Hang in there, I'll keep you guys in my thoughts.

I was checking out your blog to let you know that I was going out of town next week and to see if you needed any valium for Lovey, but maybe you need it for yourself :/

Good luck to your Dad and your family, I hope he comes through this with flying colors and nothing more than his head shaved, some sutures, and a 100% gone nasty tumor (too bad about the shaving, looks like he has a nice head of hair :) ) but it will grow back...
